Custom Classic'FuzzTM

This was a limited run project of some Fuzz units using real NOS germanium AC128 transistors just like the original Dallas-Arbiter® Fuzz Face® units used.

The AC128's are long gone (sigh) but I have enough AC125's to build 4 more of these only.

Keep in mind that the original Fuzz Face® circuit built with Germanium transistors hiss, a lot (compared to modern effects) and they can be temperature sensitive and can change tone and response if too hot, they can be prone to high frequency feedback. The original Fuzz Face® circuit can be temperamental so just know that going in. For example, you won't want to leave them on top of your 100W tube amp and expect them to sound right.

I bias the transistors to get them to work properly which means there are a couple resistors inside that will not be the values seen the original schematic, it must be done, so we deal with it. I can add some mod's to these that make them a bit better behaved than the original circuit and more stable.
