Classic Single-Coil Pickups

Classic Amplification takes a different approach than most pickup winders, we refrain from having a menu system or naming our pickups to reflect a particular genra, artists, or venue, our approach is to wind pickups to suit the customer's need. When you order a pickup from us we communicate with you before we wind a single turn of wire. To define your desired tone and spec's, the instrument's character, the gear used, in this way we can get you closer to your target tone.

Classic SC-S^TM ...pickups for Stratocaster^® style guitars

Classic SC-S^TM single coil pickups are available with AlNiCo-II or AlNiCo-V magnets, staggered or non-staggered, wax potting if desired.
(our default standard is non-potted coils which we feel gives more character to the pickups)

Classic SC-S^TM single coil pickups are wound with #42 gauge wire on traditional forbon flatwork with medium-scatter pattern (unless you specify otherwise), DCR is normally 5.7k - 5.9k for vintage tone, 6k - 6.2k for modern tone (specify your desired DCR at time of order).
(custom spec or hot-winding no extra charge)

Options are:

• Vintage staggered poles (for 7-12" radius necks)
• Modern staggered poles (for 10"-12" radius necks)
• Flat non-staggered poles (for 16" radius necks)
• Wax Potting for players using high-gain gear
• Set's can be ordered calibrated in any DCR combination you desire

Classic SC-T^TM ...pickups for Telecaster^® style guitars

Classic SC-T^TM single coil pickups are available with AlNiCo-V magnets, staggered or non-staggered, wax potting if desired.
(our default standard is non-potted coils which we feel gives more character to the pickups)

Classic SC-T^TM Bridge pickup normaly wound with #43 gauge wire, high-scatter, DCR of 6.9k - 7.2k, wrapped in black-dyed cotton string, copper bottom plate optional.

Classic SC-T^TM Neck pickups normaly wound with #43 gauge wire, high-scatter, DCR of 5.5k - 6k, pickup cover included.
